Bump....
So, anyone wanna buy my used die-cast hoops? They're in great condition. I'll sell all three for $25 or individually for $10 each (plus postage). Let me know.
And happy new year everyone.
I just bought some new Ludwig brass die-cast hoops to put on my Ludwig hand-hammered bronze 5 x 14 snare and they are absofreakinlutely amazing. I now have the world's best sounding snare drum.
I will be selling some of my old die-cast hoops. Anyone interested? I have a top and bottom (I think they may be Gibraltar?) that are very snug when it comes to mounting a 14" Remo and I also have another 14" bottom (not sure of the brand). They're all chrome and in great condition and I'll sell each one for $10 plus postage.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm not sure. They're definitely not aluminum, and not as heavy as steel, so they're probably zinc. They're not Gibraltar though, they're Pro Beat (I found the old receipt).Originally posted by Henry II:
I presume they're zinc.
That's a great price for die cast hoops. I presume they're zinc. Interstate Music want's something like $50 apiece for Gibralter die cast hoops. I'd love to try some on my Acrolite but it's an 8 lug snare.
